More On Selecting A Niche for Your Blog

When you are creating a blog it is better to narrow it down to a niche, rather than trying to cover everything, and thereby not really end up appealing to anyone.

When you choose your first niche, I think the best thing is to go with something that you know about and will enjoy writing about – that way providing fresh content is going to be that much easier. As you progress, and you start seeing how much money these blogs can generate, you may decide to create a large number of them. However, by that point you will have probably reached a level where you can start outsourcing some of the content creation.

Ok, so first off, choose something that you know at least a little about. This could literally be anything, a sport, pets, health, weight-loss, handbags, clothing. The list really is endless, but make your choice and go with it.

I recently set up a blog in the weight-loss niche, this is partly because I enjoy writing about health related topics and also because there are a number of ways you can monetize the site by adding Clickbank products.

However, don’t be confined just by Clickbank, as today with the great affiliate programs run by Amazon and eBay you can easily find products to monetize almost any site, from cars to baby clothes and everything in between.

What is key to remembering is that you are going to have to create content for this blog going forward, and if it not something that you can create yourself from scratch then you are going to have to re-use PLR material, so make sure it is something that you can readily research, understand and be able to impart this knowledge to others on. Now by this I don’t mean in a very complex manner but just something that you can put across in an accessible way that is easy to read.

Niche Markets for Maximum Wealth

You must target niche markets for maximum wealth online. People talk a lot about niche markets in online forums, but what does the term actually mean? Simply put, a niche market is a sub-category of a larger market. The people who buy products within niche markets are typically very targeted, motivated buyers. Further, the niches in which they buy often don’t have a lot of advertising competition. This is because there are literally millions of niche markets out there, and only a fraction of them have been discovered by affiliate marketers. If you can find an untapped niche full of hungry buyers, you’re virtually guaranteed to make money.

Finding hot niche markets with little competition takes some research. However, the research is easy to do and the tools to do it are readily available online for free. Some of the best ways to find hot niches involve looking at Google and Yahoo trends, and seeing what’s selling well on eBay. By looking at these broader categories of items, you can dig deeper to break the categories down into niches.

Let’s say you discover “dresses” seems to be  a hot search term on Google right now. Look around on Google for “dresses.” You’ll probably come up with millions of hits. However, break it down to “organic cotton dresses for summer” and you’ll find a lot fewer sites. However, if you find at least 1,000 sites with this keyword, and there are some paid ads on the search results page, you’ve got yourself a hot, virtually untapped niche market.

Online auction giant eBay makes it even easier to find hot niches. The main page of the site lists the top 10 categories being searched. These categories are broken down into sub-categories in the categories menu. From there, you can see just which sub-categories are overflowing with buyers. If there are comparatively few sellers, but lots of buyers, that is a hot niche. Setting up a website to market products in this niche, and using a software package like EZ Niche Builder to automate your site can send your profits through the roof.  It’s the perfect way to use niche markets for maximum wealth.

How To Boost Your Online Income

If you want to boost your online income, niche markets are your key to success. Niche markets are sub-categories of broader markets, and can be very profitable. The key to the high profitability of niche markets is their specificity. For example, it’s much easier to find and market to people who are interested in 1964 Ford Mustangs than it is to market to people who are interested in cars in general (or even Mustangs in general). Plus, the people who comprise your potential customers in niche markets are usually quite passionate about their chosen interest, and are ready to buy if you’ve got the right marketing message. So how can you find hot niche markets to boost your online income?

Some people look at the headlines in magazines or best-selling non-fiction books for ideas. However, there is a much better way to find niche markets with the most eager buyers. One is to search on eBay.  The front page of eBay will show you the top 10 most frequently searched categories on the site. These are categories in which people are actively looking to buy. You can then find these categories in the categories menu on the left-hand side of the page. Click on the appropriate category link, and it will show you all of the sub-categories associated with it. These are niche markets.

You can see just how many people are selling things in those niches. To see how many people are buying, scroll through the list of items for sale in that niche and see how many bids there are on the items there. If you find a niche with a lot of bidders, and with less than 1,000 items for sale, you’ve found a niche that’s profitable, but with little competition. This is a niche you should get into.

Once you start marketing your niche, you’ll most likely be setting up a web page to do so. EZ Niche Builder can help you manage your niche campaign more effectively by streamlining many of the processes associated with updating and optimizing it. This can help you significantly boost your online income.
